|2019: Performed pro bono dental care on local exchange student who was experiencing a dental emergency. Dr. Neal donated to the Canby City Fire Department Firefighters that participated in the Seattle Firefighter Stair Climb for Leukemia/Lymphoma. Over 1500 firefighters from all over the world participated and had to climb 69 stories (1311 steps and 788 feet in vertical elevation) in full firefighting gear and breathing apparatus. This event raised $2.8 million dollars for Leukemia/Lymphoma research and one step closer to a cure.

2018: Canby Rotary member participation included "3-on-3: Nothing But Net" set up, execution, and tear down during basketball tournament. Donated dental care supplies for 50 "Blessing Bags" that were distributed throughout the local community to help homeless families during the winter holiday season.

Sep, 2017 and 2018: Participated in dental patient care at Canby Cares, providing $84,400 worth of free medical and $33,000 of dental services to 86 guests with medical and financial vulnerabilities! Canby churches and community organizations partnered with Caring Hands Worldwide & Medical Teams International for this annual community event.

October and November, 2015: Dr. Neal was selected to work as a contract dentist for the Oregon Army National Guard at two Armories, providing immediate dental care to Oregon's Soldiers to help maintain their world-wide deployable status.
October, 2015: During the Canby Main Street Spooktacular, Trick-or-Treaters were given a treat and then a dental care kit containing a toothbrush and toothpaste. Also, on the same night, our office donated 600 dental care packs for the annual Thriftway Cutsforth Marketplace.

August, 2015: Donated gift baskets valued at $570 to the Canby Youth Football Kick-Off Fundraiser. Proceeds provided safe football equipment to this “well-rounded, educational and fun environment.
June and July, 2015: Participated in the Concorde University Dental Assisting Externship Program. Concorde has an excellent training program, Erika Oswald, came to us very, very prepared to observe and participate chairside at our busy practice. Teaching reinforces our staff's knowledge and clinical skills. She has been a great, friendly, and gentle asset in our practice.

January, 2015: Donated money to Canby Utility: Share the Warmth customer assistance program which allows neighbors to help neighbors within our community stay warm during the cold winter months. Share the Warmth provides financial assistance to qualified customers who need help.

February, 2015: For National Children's Dental Month, Alan Neal, donated oral hygiene supplies to high school students at Mollala Country Christian School. He spoke to juniors and seniors about opportunities in the medical and dental fields; about the graduate school application process; and how to keep education costs to a minimum.
October 31, 2014: Neal Family Dental donated 300 dental "goody bags" to the Cutsforth Marketplace Thriftway Annual Trick-or-Treat community event. 960 Trick-or-Treaters visited and received their candy and tools for good dental hygiene.
October, 2014: Sponsored Canby Honoree, Lauren Sandberg, in Pamplin Media Group Amazing Kids. Ms. Sandberg, during her 8th grade year, volunteered her Saturdays as a ballet teacher's assistant in an Aspire Project program, providing dance lessons for underserved youth at the Youth Music Project in West Linn.
September 15, 2014: Our office donated four gift baskets to Canby Youth Football Kick-Off Party Auction. The gift baskets were full of oral hygiene products and gift certificates, valued at $1,490.
July 11-12, 2014: Alan Neal, DMD, contributed his time at the Oregon Mission of Mercy in Salem, OR. 161 dentists and 998 volunteers examined and treated 1,255 patients, performing 6,533 procedures, and resulted in $738,299 of donated care.
